Jesus Youth is an international Catholic youth movement with a Charismatic spirituality and a focus on youth evangelization.

In India it is recognized by the C.B.C.I.
(Catholic Bishop’s Conference of India).

The strength of the movement is its special focus on a Jesus centered life, beginning with an experience of God, nourished by prayer, the Word of God, the Sacraments and fellowship and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others, especially the poor.

Tough not an actual community, Jesus Youth is a network of small but vibrant groups of young people. In their own life situations, they strive to give time to the Lord, responding to the challenges of today’s world in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Youth Ajmer
Jesus Youth Ajmer is an offshoot of Jesus Youth India. We are a bunch of committed youth dedicated to serve the diocese, parishes and families. We bare the responsibilities of our everyday lives but also come together to serve the Church in whatever way required. In the context of Ajmer, the movement is encouraged and supported by the Diocese. The Bishop appoints a director for the movement who steers its functioning (quite different from what is practised everywhere else in JY!)

The movement serves under the hierarchy of the Church and itself is an organised body with its own hierarchy. Jesus Youth Ajmer is directed by the diocesan JY director (a priest incharge), and managed by a coordinator, supported by his core team of service minded youth. The team works in coordination with the diocese as well as the regional and national JY teams.
