About Jankalayan Medical Society in SH-47, Cutch-Mandvi

The Jankalyan Medical Society (JKMS) society has been established to attack and detect the disease of Cancer and other crucial diseases in all the forms. One of the objective of the society is to investigate the incidence, prevalence, symptoms pathology, treatment and promotion of the cure for Cancer.

The society has been established in 1993 and is registered under the public trust act and society act. One of the main objectives of society is cancer control programme and to give palliative care to terminal stage cancer patients at Hospice and at Home. As per national cancer control programme our goals are:

Primary prevention of cancer by health education, regarding hazards of Tobaco consumption and necessity of genital hygiene for prevention of cervical cancer

Secondary prevention I e early detection and diagnosis of cancers by screening methods and methods of self examination of Breast, oral cavity and Testis

Strengthening of existing cancer treatment facility at local level

Palliative care to terminal stage cancer patients
