About M.C.Sarkar & Sons Private Limited in 14 Bankim Chatterjee Street, Kolkata

M. C. Sarkar & Sons was founded in the year 1910. The company was formed with the intent of publishing law books. After a few years, the company started printing books in Bengali. In 1920, we started our Bengali Children's Magazine, "Mouchak", which is still being published. We were the publishers of the complete works of Sarat Chandra Chatterjee, Rajsekhar Bose, and Sir J. N. Sarkar. We have also been publishing the “Hindustan Year Book” since 1932. Our small publishing house has produced books by most of the eminent authors of Bengal over the years. Some of our best sellers include “Chalantika”, “Mahabharata", "Ramayana, "Parashuram Galpa Samagra, and "Meghdoot” by Raj Shekhar Bose, "Rat Bhore Bristi", “ Kalidaser Meghdoot", "Mahabharater Khata”, “Amar Chelebala", and ”Amar Jouban", by Buddhadeb Bose, "Pouranik Abhidhan" by Sudhir Chandra Sarkar, "Japane" and “Gandhi" by Ananda Sankar Ray, "Shakespearer Samaj Chetana" and "Girish Manash", Pratibiplab" by Utpal Dutta, "Chand Baniker Pala"and "Sanmarga Saparja" by Sambhu Mitra and many other popular titles.
