About ABU Asia-Pacific Robocon Pune Secretariat in , Pune

Asia Pacific Robot Contests are a great events conducted by students and teachers for trying their skills in designing robots and winning games with combined man-machine effort. The event is really uniting the engineers and broadcasters in the Asia Pacific Region. With the aim of sparking youngsters' interest in Science and Technology, and strengthening the ties among countries in the Asia Pacific region, the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest was first organized by NHK Japan in 2002.

Hosted by the ABU the annual competition attracts close to 20 countries or regions participation each year.

College, University and Polytechnic students from across the world form teams and create their own handmade robots to compete in the regional events. Every year, member countries take turn to host the competition and through that, the cultural exchange among participating countries is greatly enhanced.
