About Shilpangan Art Institute in MALUGRAM, Silchar

The history of mankind is the history of creative excelence. Ruminating the fact as factor of inspiration, Shilpangan, an educational institute of Art & Craft, started its journey in persuit of innovative excellence. It was a fine morning of 7th October,2001.

At the outset, there were only two faculty members named Prasanta Seal(now working as a Visualiser on Delhi based international Art magazine "Art & Deal") and Sandipan Dutta Purkayastha(now working as the Principal of the Institute).

Since then, it has been a delightful voyage of more than ten years Shilpangan has now come of age by impacting the lesson of Art to children and youths of the region. The budding talents of this institute have already been able to attract the adorable attention of many luminaries in & outside Barak Valley.
